Venus Williams | Not Just A Tennis Player

You have most likely heard of the tennis star, Venus Williams, and seen her dominate the tennis court on ESPN. Venus Williams has been playing tennis from a very young age, yet she has had other passions as well, which include both fashion design and interior design. Williams has earned an associate in arts degree in fashion design and she is currently working on her bachelor’s for interior design and business, online. Williams has her own firm, V Starr Interiors, which focuses on the hospitality and commercial side of design. She even has her own fashion line, EleVen, which features bold and bright colors. Williams vows that tennis has had a high impact on her view of business, “Just by setting goals,” she says. “The hard work—sweating through it and being able to recover from any failures or any sort of setbacks. It’s really about understanding how to adjust and being able to work as a team—to bring people together and create a positive environment of motivation. That’s where I thrive on the court, and it’s natural to bring that energy to our office and our team.” Venus describes her style as elegant, fun and eclectic which is apparent after viewing V Starr Interiors portfolio.
