Welcome to Summer! It’s time to get inspired! This month’s blog is all about outdoor dining/patio spaces. We have decided to take a look at surrounding Indianapolis restaurants and highlight the aesthetic of each. Outdoor dining was so popular last year, we know that it’s only going to gain more traction. From traditional to ultra-modern, you can create the perfect space to dine and entertain.
We didn’t have a hand in designing these projects, however we thought these spaces would interesting to showcase!
Our first pick is The Tap on Massachusetts Avenue. Their outdoor space has glass firepits, seating variety, and a green wall! It caught our attention with all the greenery and the bustling location. We love to people-watch and enjoy the feel of being in the city. Here, the feel is very modern and sleek. High-top tables with an integrated metal and wood-look design make the space feel industrial but minimalist at the same time.

The next outdoor area we decided to take inspiration from is the Bluebeard Kitchen. There is bistro-type seating with a tree going right through the corner of the space, creating a woodland forest in the middle of the city. The tabletops are perfect for two-diners and a small plate of hors d’oeuvres.

In Fishers, we have Four Day Ray Brewing sporting massive metal beams in their outdoor area complete with lounge Adirondack chairs. This patio caught our eye because it makes a big statement in such a small area! Their outdoor space is also complete with a firepit to gather around.

And lastly, Plat 99 in the Alexander Hotel. A bit more upscale in design and food, however it still brings coziness with oversized cushions on wicker furniture. Groups are sure to fit right in here and can stay to enjoy the nightlife with great ambient lighting from the indoor and outdoor fixtures.
